650nm LPC826 Brand New Laser Diode
[LPC826]
$18.94

I am selling Brand New 650nm LPC826 Long Open Can Laser Diode. This is slightly more robust than the LPC815 LOC Laser Diode and will be the new standard in Red DIY Lasers. This is also a brand new laser diode (not harvested from a sled) so the pins are long and perfect for soldering. People have been using this at around 500mA current to provide around 300mW output. It is a 650nm diode (fits a 12x30mm Laser Module case). You will need press this into a module or host, then solder the pins to a laser driver or other current source to use it. Read up on making a laser from this laser diode in this very informative thread on LPF. BEWARE this laser is VERY VERY dangerous and will burn your eyes making you blind if you ever look into it, so DONT.

This is a 650nm diode laser. I will package the laser diode in aluminum foil to short the pins, then wrap this in an anti-static bag as to protect it from static electricity, put that into a small plastic box, then place that in a zip lock bag to prevent any possible weather damage and ship it in a protected bubble wrap mailer. Do not hesitate to email me with any questions.

I recommend driving these at 380mA to get a high power at around 180-300mW, and have a stable long life. Heat sinking is recommended for high currents, and using a short Duty Cycleis recommended as well. These diodes can be pushed further but do so on your own risk. Check out this Current vs. Power graph made by Daniel Briggs. Each diode varies but this gives you a general idea of what power you will get at a specific current.

If you would like me to place the diode in the laser module housing so all you have to do is connect it to your own current / voltage source, click to view 650nm LPC826 Laser in Aixiz Module.

I can provide some help with installation as well if you need.
