BEWARE this laser is VERY VERY DANGEROUS and will burn your eyes making you blind if you ever look into it, look at a reflection of it, or possibly even by staring at the dot close up, so DONT. Laser Goggles rated for 445nm light are a MUST for using this laser. You can get some laser goggles

. Or just do a search on google for 445nm or 405nm laser goggles. Many 405nm laser goggles are broadband spectrum and also cover 445nm laser.
Also the Aixiz module acrylic lens that is included with this item can only withstand around 500mW laser output power until it starts to melt. I recommend using an
Aixiz glass lens for >500mW laser output. You can purchase a 660nm glass lens which still gives around 5-10% power increase for 445nm lasers.
I will package the laser diode in aixiz module wrapped in an anti-static bag as to protect it from static electricity, place it in a zip lock bag to prevent any possible weather damage and ship it in a protected bubble wrap mailer.

I recommend driving these at 500mA to get a high power at around 400-500mW, and have a stable long life. They have been driven up to 1000mA though to output 1W (1000mW). Heat sinking is strongly recommended as the diode does get hot from such high current, and using a short
Duty Cycle
is recommended as well. Also if powering this diode at 1A be sure to watch the wires from your battery source. This high of current draw can melt some skinny wires. Also I have read that using 18650 batteries is a good way to go as they can hold high amounts of mAh (battery power time).
